Viera Blech was established in 2004 as a quartet and now consists of seven high-profile musicians who all studied music at different universities (Conservatory in Innsbruck, Mozarteum Salzburg and Anton - Bruckner Private University Linz). Martin Scharnagl is the leader of this group, which receives a distinctive and unique style through his original compositions and arrangements. The band has released three successful CD´s that were produced in the own studio by trombonist Alois Eberl.

With an average of 25 years all musicians play at the highest level of style in all genres and provide a high level of fun and entertainment factor. The group can look back on many successful concerts throughout Europe (A, D, CH, I, NL, B, S, DK). Particular hightlights were the Ski - World Cup 2007 in Sweden, the Musikantenstadl in Switzerland, the Hahnenkamm ski - race in Kitzbühel, Woodstock der Blasmusik (most famous brass band festival in the German-speaking countries) and several concerts at events and programs of the ORF (Austrian TV).

Critics and audiences agree: "They refute all preconceptions about brass music and leave a lot of enthusiastic fans at their concerts." Every year about 40 concerts throughout Europe, numerous radio and television appearances and invitations to big brass band festivals at home and abroad confirm the success of these young musicians.
